London - 11/01/12:
BrokerMeteorology forecasters expect a snowstorm on Western Europe between Monday 14 and Thursday 17 January. This might look like the cold wave of 2009 and December 2010, when London and Paris had to face several tens of centimeters of snow.
Cold weather arrives this weekend from Scandinavia, Benelux and progresses to the north of France and the UK. In this context, heavy snowfalls are mostly expected Tuesday and Wednesday: from 10 to 30 cm of snow could then cover the suburbs of these capitals.
The situation could lead to later return to drier weather, but very cold, the snow would not melt until next weekend.
